Marcus Matthews
B.Sc., RCPod, Podiatrist
Marcus is a dedicated podiatrist with a passion for providing diverse & high-quality care to his patients. He graduated from the University of Brighton, where he earned his degree in podiatry, and has since continued to expand his expertise through advanced education. His additional training includes biomechanics, digital gait/foot scanning and surgical management of warts, ensuring that he stays current with the latest advancements in podiatric care.

Marcus came to Nova Scotia to provide much needed podiatry services in Nova Scotia, having practiced in Truro and Antigonish. Prior to relocating, he gained extensive experience working within the UK’s National Health Service (NHS) as a High-Risk Wound Care Specialist. He has also worked in private practice within a Podiatry Sports Injury Clinic and in nursing home settings, allowing him to be well versed in treating a wide range of conditions and tailor his care to meet the unique needs of each patient.

Marcus’s research was published in the Journal of Foot and Ankle in May 2020, demonstrating his commitment to advancing the field. He is also dedicated to mentoring the next generation of podiatrists, having guided numerous university students in their studies and actively encourages and nurtures inter professional working with other specialists and clinicians.

With a patient-centered approach to care, Marcus is committed to providing the most effective and efficient treatments to ensure optimal results. Inspired by his grandfather, a fellow chiropodist, Marcus follows in his footsteps, continuing the family legacy of compassionate and expert foot care.

Licensing & Membership to Professional Bodies

Podiatrists are regulated in Nova Scotia as of April 1, 2024. All podiatrists who practice in NS must be registered and licensed with the College.​​
